Unfortunately, I know the reality of being chastised because of my transgressions, and I have been blessed by the afflictions in my life because I know the Lord did so to return my focus to Him. I love my Savior and wish I fully express how grateful I am to have the truth about His atonement and sacrifice for us. Despite my sins, the Lord loves me and has compassion for me. I hurt Him, but He wants nothing more but for me to freely choose His path to righteousness.
The Lord will come again to the Earth and in that day, a lot of things will happen including His knowledge coming to everyone. That is why He told us to be prepared through the parable of the watchtower, and the most interesting part to me was about the servants doubting the necessity of a watchtower if they have a wall for protection. The Lord says clearly that if there had been a watchtower, they could have seen the enemy from afar and prepared better so they wouldn't be destroyed. I know that the Lord has provided a watchtower for the latter days against the enemy, satan.
The prophet is called on earth to announce the approach of the enemy's tricks, which has happened and is still happening. Back when the proclamation about the importance of families was given by the First Presidency, there wasn't the attack from satan so there was time to prepare with establishing FHE and other family oriented activities. I am so grateful to have been raised by a family that has scripture study, prayer, family dinners, FHE, and shows love constantly. I love my family and appreciate the traditions and habits that have been established as the norm for my life because I can now be confident that it will be a part of my future family as well.
