The building of a temple is always a joyous occasion so when I read about the Lord commanding the saints to build a temple and labor until it i finished I was happy. They were told not to go into debt to build the temple and to follow instructions so that the temple would be accepted as the house of the Lord. The name of the church in the last dispensation is also told because it is very important for a church of Christ to be called His name. I like telling people that I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints before clarifying that most people know us as 'Mormons'.
Also, I am rather upset at myself for never going to visit Adam-ondi-Ahman more often now that I live in Missouri! I'm sure its not bad that I haven't but I've been to Nauvoo plenty of times just never thought about Adam-ondi-Ahman as a place I should visit.
