Don't let me freak you out within the next couple weeks with how I read this because I have a plan that changes the order of what I read. My purpose in reading the Pearl of Great Price out of order is because once I finish it, I will be starting the Bible and to me, it would make better sense my way. I'm starting with Joseph Smith-History, then I'll read the Articles of Faith, Abraham, Joseph Smith-Matthew, and lastly, Moses. If you understand why, then you totally get me and we should be best friends, if you don't, oh well.
From the introduction, I know that this part of the standard works of the Church is meant to be read and studied just as the others. In many sunday school lessons and classes, I've turned to it's pages for reference, but I've never read it straight through myself or truly appreciated it. I liked reading the history of why there were changes, just like in the Doctrine and Covenants introduction, because I can tell it was rearranged to help in our study of the standard works.
